Seems like lately everytime I post my team for the week I end up making one wrong change, and somehow the entire team is affected, and lo and behold, I score extremely low (38 in this case)! Wtf man... I'm still in 3rd position of course, but Tishen is creeping ever so closer, and I'm losing ground on Sean and Rudy!
So next time, I ain't posting a full squad. At most I'll probably talk about certain picks I believe is good, but I won't show my entire team. After all, they're always subject to last minute swaps, guided by gut instinct!
Anyway, some early thoughts. Giannakopoulos and Downing are both reasonable picks, esp. as they face poor teams. Downing appears to be every bit the hot stuff he was prior to his injury, plus the fact he'll want to prove himself before the final World Cup selection. Don't put all your eggs in one basket though... look at those who picked mostly Liverpool or Chelsea players last week....
Btw, Cisse was CRAP last night!!! It always looked like the game plan in his head was different to the one his teammates had... hope Rafa'll restore the Crouch-Morientes partnership... at least until Cisse screws his head back the right way...

YFF week 24!
My team as it stands:
Strikers: Crouch, Heskey, Roberts
Midfield: Gerrard, Kewell, Lawrence, Cole
Defense: Sun, Scharner, Knight
Goalie: Given (!)
Of course, the shock would probably be the goalie... thing is, I've always admired the keeper, it's the guys directly in front of him I can't stand. Rumour has it Bramble's injured, and any replacement can't get any worse than Bramble. And since they're playing at St. James Park, I'm gonna put Given into this slot, cross my fingers, and hope for the best...
I may still change Heskey to Sutton, and Sun to Reo-Coker, but that's about it.
C'mon you REDS!!! Let's destroy Man U at their home ground...

New Year's Resolution #3!!!
Return to the gaming world, specifically Magic AND WWE. I have been away for far too long and from what I know, Magic has pretty much kicked into overdrive over at WGS. Also, the fact that an offspring of mine is venturing into said Magic world gives me a sign that it might be time for my long overdue comeback. At least I still know my DCI number...
I was kinda sleepy at work today, so I ended up refreshing my energies by checking out the latest Magic cards coming out in the next pre-release. Hope I'll be back full blast next month. Long term target is of course, to qualify for Nationals somewhere in September (?) I think.
WWE, from what I know, is in a dormant stage at the moment. Well, hopefully I'll be back to kick it up back into action. Besides, Singapore qualifiers is somewhere in March I think and I wanna go! Last time we had a fantastic time. Group trips are a blast!
In addition, there's the Boardalympics as well. Last year I finished in the final four crashing out horribly in fourth. Just hope that there won't be any UNO Stacko nonsense this year...

New Year's Resolution #2!!!
Return to my regular blogging frequency! I tapered off quite a bit towards the end of the year which sucks. While I generally don't force myself to write, there have been tons of times when I'm online, and want to blog, but just did not get around to doing it.
Also, I've shut down my EPL blog and will post any football related stuff here from now on in. Appreciate all those who've visited it in the past, AND put up with my Hot Tips, players who usually proceed to disappear/get injured/carded etc...!
i'm also still in the process of changing some of my blog's appearances. Will finalise it when I have more time... which SHOULD be by the end of February!

New Year's Resolution #1
To be a regular cinema patron
The second half of last year was horrible where movie-watching was concerned. I think I missed out on so many movies it became an embarassment everytime I had to withdraw from a movie conversation. Even now, I have yet to watch King Kong, Aeon Flux, Madagascar, etc...
I have to admit I get influenced by reviews that I read in the papers, or majority of opinions from friends or relatives, and in particular lately, Nauval, my favourite movie buff in his blog. More often than not, if the review's bad, I end up not watching the movie, despite having initial interest.
Furthermore, it's extremely annoying over here in Malaysia, where the Censorship Board rules, and you end up getting scenes chopped off for reasons that are both inconsistent and illogical.
But... cinema-going is an experience to enjoy. I remember watching movies like Hellboy, Star Wars Episode 3 and Spiderman 2 with my mates, and there were about 20 of us going for the show! Sometimes it's not just the movie that makes it fun...
So, a preliminary list of movies for 2006, off the top of my head:
1. X3
2. Pirates of the Carribean 2
3. V for Vendetta
4. Superman returns
5. Poseidon
6. Memoirs of a Geisha
Is Spiderman 3 in 2006? If so, add that in... again, it's just a prelim list, one I hope will grow as the movies for 2006 take off!

Having a daughter is harder than you think...!
Especially when she:
1. Looks like she hasn't been eating
2. Screams outobscenities on top of a hill
3. Calls herself a prophet
4. starts pushing cards on a table and using terms like "tap", "in response", and "resolve"
5. gets a boyfriend who does item 4 as well
6. Gets caught by police for, er, random acts with item 5
On the other hand, it's kinda sweet when she gets drunk yet can still remember who her daddy is... :D

Hilarious CSI episode...
So every once in a while I catch CSI and yesterday watched this one episode that was fun and freaky at the same time!
Basically what happens is that they find a dead guy in a raccoon suit, and upon further investigation, discover a whole community that believes in acting on animal instinct.
If you think that just means sex, that ain't it. These people actually socialise and interact in animal suits, aka. plushies and furries! And the dialogue was FULL of deadpan humour!
If you wanna find it, it's from Season 4, "Fur and Loathing" Enjoy!

GOODY TWO SHOES!!!
Came across this 80s song which i haven't heard in awhile and damn if it ain't fun!
With the heartbreak open
So much you can't hide
Put on a little makeup makeup
Make sure they get your good side good side
If the words unspoken
Get stuck in your throat
Send a treasure token token
Write it on a pound note pound note
CHORUS:
Don't drink don't smoke - what do you do?
Don't drink don't smoke - what do you do?
Subtle innuendos follow
There must be something inside
We don't follow fashion
That would be a joke
You know we're going to set them set them
So everyone can take note take note
When they saw you kneeling
Crying words that you mean
Opening their eyeballs eyeballs
Pretending that you're Al Green Al Green
No one's gonna tell me
What's wrong or what's right
Or tell me who to eat with sleep with
Or that I've won the big fight big fight
Look out or they'll tell you
You're a "Superstar"
Two weeks and you're an all time legend
I think the games have gone much too far
If the words unspoken
Get stuck in your throat
Send a treasure token token
Write it on a pound note pound note
Don't drink don't smoke - what do you do?
Don't drink don't smoke - what do you do?

Quick update
Well, today I have another job interview, this time in Subang. Hopefully I'll be able to get back into the thick of things by January.
Although I admit I have had my fair share of social events in the past month or so. Despite not meeting my friends regularly anymore, I was able to attend a couple of events, most recently Triona's, Ahmad's, Ida's and Rizal's birthday party... an event I enjoyed heaps... despite the one-time enforced silence...!
I'll probably be working on revamping this blog's look for 2006, the fact that I haven't even been updating regularly seems to say that it's time for a change...
