Liverpool transfer commentary...

(Yeap, I'm moving fast to establish the blog's tone here)

Funnily enough, I'm actually a fan of Atletico Madrid, which is mainly due to Torres from a couple of years back. (no no, you twats, it's not like my Fletcher obsession ). It was frustrating to see Atletico fail to qualify for the UEFA Cup, and I guess it was for Torres too. For him to move to Liverpool was somewhat of a dream for me! When the rumours started, part of me wondered if I'd remain an Atletico fan without Torres, but now that it's established Luis Garcia's moving the other way, guess I'll still have the same La Liga team to support. Still disappointed that Garcia's leaving (his tendency to perform in the big games was always his plus point), but at least it was an amicable parting of the ways.

Cisse's gone off (well, that's the end of that!), and looks like Bellamy's leaving too. I was pretty fed up of Bellamy and his golfing adventures), but I have to say I actually liked Cisse, and I don't think he was given enough time to prove himself. Of course, the injuries didn't help, but neither did being played out of position.

Looks like Crouch is staying! Too bad he stopped doing the Robo-Crouch though, could've established it as a trademark.

Anyway, all we need now are wingers... Oops, there goes Malouda.. I've been a bit annoyed at Liverpool's seemingly lack of bite and haste in the transfer market, so securing Torres went a long way in terms of my personal relief.

Here's to Torres top-scoring in the EPL!
