A seller of dreams

He sold me a set of dreams without me even realising it. My dreams are taking on a recurring theme that it can't be due to me alone!

Still, if I could find him again, I'd like to buy certain stuff off him. None of that blurry, confusing stuff, I want dreams I can interpret clearly! Dreams with clarity!

There I go again, dreaming...

Draining

This week has been quite draining for me. Not really sure why, but I've ended up being quite lethargic, despite my best efforts to pretend otherwise. I've also had numerous demoralising situations which haven't helped either.

SIN CITY

Great movie. Go watch it, preferably in cinemas.
Wait a sec. Scratch that, you can't see it in cinemas. If you did, it would probably a 30 minute show ha ha...

Hopefully everything will pick up again by the end of the week!

It's good to blog regularly again though. Acknowledgements and thanks are in order here.

Staying over...

It's funny how my parents continue to give me hell about staying over at a friend's place. Granted I wasn't one of those hugely independent kids back in school while I was still in Malaysia. I wasn't one to go jalan-jalan a lot, go out to the city. Back then I'd just stock up on my book collection and read.

Then, I went to Australia and did all sorts of shit. And somehow they make staying over at a friend's place seem like a nasty thing. If only they knew ha ha....

Last night I stayed over at Zach's (Sanction to some of you). I actually got to chat with his parents a bit and they're really quite cool. His room has a pigeon chirping soundtrack occurring on and off, giving a nature like atmosphere.

Although that air conditioning causes the temperature to drop so rapidly its like an apple on Newton's Law high...!

In any case, thanks to all who've put up with me in their abodes and hope I can continue to return the favour, well probably not right now, but in the near future :)

Later....

How Far???!!

How far are you willing to go to get what you want?

How much are you willing to do?

Anything?

Everything?

Course you need to establish just how much you want it first, how important it is to you...

Lovely Bones

by Alice Sebold. Good read. Go read.

In short, it's about what happens to the world around a 14 year old girl when she dies... from the perspective of the girl :)

Haven't actually had a chance to read a new book I couldn't put down for quite awhile. It's a nice feeling :p.

She was right. There's definitely other stuff that I can get around to doing ha ha, like reading. In any case, can't have too much idle time on my hands.

Accounts! Arrrh!!

Sorry, that was randomness.

Care vs Showing you care...

What's more important? How much of a difference is there..??

I think they're kinda equal, but I can't really say for sure. I care a lot for certain people, and for my own self-being, it should be enough. But at the same time, by showing you care for them, you want them to know that you are there for them.

It's a bit tricky, at least for me, but if you can get both down pat, you should be fine.

And I'm very unbalanced right now ha ha...

Not always...

Recently I was reminded that it's not always about me...

And that there are things that are out of my control and possibly even beyond my influence...

Have to stay grounded, not taking too many flights of fantasy :)

But I still try to help, in any way I can...

I'm still here, and I will continue to be here...

Take random individuals, open neck arteries

Part A: Magic

On Tuesday, we had our first beginner draft training session at WGS!

Participants Trainers

1. Triona Me
2. Andy Raj
3. Dawn Loco
4. Shaz Johan

Although during the draft I was concentrating on what Triona was doing, it was easy to notice a few things throughout the draft. Firstly, after the Honden of Seeing Winds came back, it was obvious that either: a) no one else was playing blue, or b) no one realised just how powerful the Honden card was (Drawing two cards a turn is amazing!) Turns out a) was true !

Secondly, black seemed to be overdrafted as the quality of black ran out both from Triona's right (Andy) and left (Dawn). Later, I found out they were both in those colours as well.

In the end, Triona's deck had blue as a primary colour and red and black as equal secondary colours. Not exactly a preferred draft deck colour distribution but she didn't really have much choice in the matter.

Fortunately, she didn't run into any mana issues in her first few games and has so far managed to do well! Hopefully, she can keep it up! G'luck Triona!

Part B: A girl named Kat

She's been bugging me for quite awhile now to mention her name in my blog... I've been refraining for awhile to talk about her as I felt it was still too early, but....

Where to start, girl! Help me out here!

Kat's a writer. She does a lot of freelance work for some magazines and has been in Malaysia for quite a while now. I've known her for about two years now, but I've only become much closer to her recently...

I haven't really introduced her to the rest of my friends yet (Sorry dear!) but that's more to unavailability more than anything else). Having said that, some of you may have spoken to her when she picks up my calls.

Actually, now that I think of it, maybe next Wednesday might be a good time to introduce her to y'all!

Till then...

The roleplayer is online now activating...

Another one week of non-blogging. Have blogged more in WGS's main page then here! Wetef...

RPGs are back in my life!

I needed a way to get back into RPGs and Kwok's new Iron Kingdoms seemed the best way to go. I wanted to join a group with a good GM and chances are I won't be disappointed. If my RPGing goes well, I will start my long overdue Star Wars campaign as well. Any takers?

Similarly, after a long hiatus, I am also going back into wargaming, specifically Warmachine and Confrontation. Arguably there are some kickbacks to this, but i'm glad I found a reason to join. Just means I'll always have something to do at the shop!

I've had some interesting developments occurring in my life currently in multiple levels. Some are good, some are not so good, but the good ones are enough to offset the not so good ones! :P

Literature swaps rock!

Let Everything Out!!! :p

"I've been away from you for far too long
Too much chances make my heart go frantic
I wanna tell you what's been goin' on
Operator get me Trans Atlantic"

- Sheena Easton, "Telephone"

Two weeks is far too long! I've been spending way too much time on WGS forums as well as helping to update the main page, heh.

A list of stuff that happened in the past two weeks:

Crash and burned in Bangsar WWE Tournament (May is still a pleasant distraction ha!)
Twilight Action Girl fun (No Ja Ja, but still good shit!)
Continuous pleasant late night talk time (sorry folks, but priorities are priorities!)
Sunday's Magic activities (read all about that in the WGS MTG forums - PTQ London)

Anyway, yesterday something screwy happened. So much so that I felt like I wanted to break routine again. The first person I encounter at this point in time was Mr. Rudy La Faber. Rudy has the spontaneity gene embedded in him by forces unknown and this was the result:

Location: Luna Bar, 34th (top) floor of the Pan Global building

It's quite a beautiful place, and the atmosphere is serenely amazing . Rudy had always wanted to check the place out and so off we went. We arrived there at about 9:30pm and the decor was positively charming.

Mostly the crowd was the after work crowd of a Tuesday. Mostly... Some appeared to be on genuine dates, and I have to admit it's a terrific place to bring a loved one if you have money to spare... :D

We had some spectacular views of Kuala Lumpur and this was one of them. We were originally seated in the middle area, and when we ordered some tasty pizza, we adjourned to one of the side booths, from where Rudy took these shots.

Yes, in case you didn't see it before, there's a swimming pool in the middle. And yes, there was no ceiling. Prob why they call it Luna Bar.

This place is worth another visit and I shall definitely be doing so, preferably with a significant other... *wink*

All in all, a good Tuesday evening. Thanks, Mr. Ruud, I owe you one.
