Men of Good Fortune

Said title refers to a chapter of the Sandman in the Doll's House, where Dream makes ...um.. an acquaintance... with a Robbie Gadling. This story taught me quite a bit about friendship. I think the main lesson is simply that sometimes we do not realise that we do have friends around us. We may not meet them everyday, we may not get to talk with them regularly, but when we do, we feel happy. Comfortable.

I just want to take the time to acknowledge all my friends out there. You know who you are, and I am glad to have known you guys and gals. Without you all, my life may very well be much different.

Friends - Rembrandts

So no one told you life was gonna be this way
Your job's a joke, you're broke, your love life's DOA,
It's like you're always stuck in second gear,
when it hasn't been your day, your week, your month or even your year!

but
I'll be there for you, when the rain starts to pour
I'll be there for you, like I've been there before
I'll be there for you, 'cause you're there for me too....

Your still in bed at 10 and work begins at 8,
You burned your breakfast so far things are going great
Your mother warned you there'd be days like these
But she didn't tell you when the world was brought down to your knees!

No one could ever know me
No one could ever see me
Seems you're the only one who knows
What it's like to be me
Some one to face the day with
Make it through all the mess with
Someone I'll always laugh with
Even at my worst, my best with you, yeah...
