A look ahead to Week 6 - Europe aftermath!

Hi everyone! Welcome to Week 6, hopefully those of us without Ronaldo last week will be able to bounce back.

Let's begin with the following Who's Who list:

Hazard
Rooney
Sanchez
Costa
Kane

Yes, we all know what this list stands for. These are players whom all of us had at least one of them in our squads at some point since the Premier League started 5 gameweeks ago. We all expected to keep at least one since the season started, yet here we are getting ready for Gameweek 6 and most squads have none of these players anymore. Which one of these vaunted players will break their duck first? Personally, I hope it's Sanchez since I have him, so I'll need Chelsea to continue their form at the back (tongue firmly in cheek)!

The Europe impact

I'm not referring to Euro Scout of course, but to the teams involved in either the Champions League or the Europa League. It was mixed fortunes for the Premier League teams, with Chelsea and Spurs the only teams out of the six involved to actually win their games. Incidentally, Costa was the only player listed above to actually score. So this week we get to see which teams get negatively impacted from midweek Europe action. In terms of clocking miles, Manchester United, Arsenal and Liverpool all travelled, so tread with caution.

Manchester United came out of it the worst as they lost Luke Shaw, arguably one of their best players so far this season. Chelsea will hope that their performance in the CL will act as a springboard for the league. Liverpool saw the return of Coutinho, while Spurs scored a quickfire brace to set Spurs up for victory. Definitely one to watch.

Anyway, here are my shouts for this weekend:

1. Stoke to cause an upset against Leicester - I know Leiecester's manager Ranieri has promised his players free pizza if they get a clean sheet, but they'll just have to be wait for their slices. Bojan Krkic's return is key here. Yes, this is a massive shout.

2.  West Ham to crack Manchester City's clean sheet record - There's enough talent there to suggest that they can do it, they just need a good dash of discipline. The Hammers seem to enjoy frustrating the bigger teams this season.

3. Chelsea and Arsenal in a score draw - Arsenal are in much better form but Mourinho knows how to deal with Wenger's teams. It might get ugly though.

So no detailed player picks this week again from me. Hope your team stays clear from injuries, I've already lost Pedro in mine. Good luck with your Captaincy choice, it could make a huge difference. It will most likely be Messi for me!
